Those of you who know me probably know that I am slightly obsessed with my FitBit. I keep a close eye on my step count an often also on my ranking in my friend’s list. I find that my mood is much better when I am getting 10,000 steps a day. Knowing that doesn’t always help me get there, however.
This morning, I walked with the dog down to the dog park so he could run around a bit. It doesn’t get me as many steps as a hike but it wears him out. While we were there, a friend texted and invited me to a hike, so off we went to that as well!

I tried to get a picture of the Stanford Dish but I don’t think you can see it. The sky was pretty awesome and at one point we could see all the way to the bay. I love living in the Bay Area.
The result of this hike was that I hit my 10,000 steps at 11 this morning! That was much better than the past few days when I’ve only gotten to about 6,000 total. Now, to make that happen again tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that, etc.
