NaBloPoMo Day 11: look! knitting!

I started a new project. That doesn’t seem like it should be news but I feel like I have been off my knitting game for a while, so it is. I’m working on Toto The Extremely Cute and Useful Potholder (Ravelry link) from the second Mason-Dixon book. It is small and cute. See…

potholder... I swear

But it’s two strand of kitchen cotton on size 8 needles so it’s a bit slow going. (I use size 7 needles for a single strand, normally!)

I really like the colors though. I’m looking forward tos eeing hot the yarn washes up, since i have never used it before. It’s Knit Picks Dishie. My experience with most kitchen cottons (Peaches and Creme and Sugar n Cream in particular) is that htey lose their color when you wash them. These colors are so vibrant, it would be sad for that to happen. We’ll see, though. I will definitely report back!
