merry merry!

I just spent the last two hours or so building this.

hagrid's hut

How fun is that? It also opens up.

Really, it was Stefan’s Christmas present. Really.

Speaking of Stefan, here are he and Niels “modeling” their PJ pants. They are understandably distracted by their toys. Cute pants, though, huh? I just bought the T-shirts at Target to go with.

I also made them a pair of the felt bird ornaments, by request. Niels got the green with the red wing and Stefan red with green. Stefan said, “THANKS!” when I gave it to him. So, yay.

Last but not least is the gingerbread house that Erik helped them build. I buy the same kit from Trader Joe’s every year with the sugar people. The kids haven’t gotten bored of it yet.

I will have more finished objects ready for the world to see after we visit my parents and aunt today. I hope you’re enjoying your Christmas and/or final Saturday of 2010!

Thanks! Hagrid’s hut is so cute that I want to play with it. It’s like a tiny doll house.

haha your building Stefan’s thing is like my niece, sister and mom building Darth Vader’s ship out of legos for the boys Christmas. My niece was excitedly showing it to me on Skype on Saturday. It was quite amusing. I was like really, whose present is that?

Btw, how was the length on the pants? Were they good? Or super long?

Your little felt ornaments are so darling. I bought that book too now, I will have to try to crank some ornaments out next year.

Stefan is at the “playing with finished object” age but not yet at the “build it all by himself” age. He hasn’t let me play with it since it’s been built… except to fix it a few times. 🙂

Niels’ pants were just an inch or so long but Stefan’s were about 3 inches too long. I rolled them up and tacked the rolled up part. We’ll see how that fares in the wash. I might have to bite the bullet and actually hem them.

Thanks! That book is really fun. Enjoy. 🙂
