I have already picked out which class I want: JC Briar’s Cast-On Cornucopia. I was regretting not taking that class at Sock Summit 09. Maybe next year she’ll teach her Bind-Off Bonzanza class too, so I can have both ends.

I want to learn Tunisian crochet. There was just a class at freaking Uncommon Threads that I didn’t get off my tookus and register for. I may just hope they will offer another one, I think the Stitches Tunisian crochet class is on Thursday afternoon. Since I’m sure I’ll be taking Friday off from work, I don’t think I could swing getting out early on Thursday too! I am amused that there are two classes about knitting both directions with two instructors. There’s the Art of Knitting Backwards by Candace Eisner Strick and then there’s Knitting in Both Directions with Gwen Bornter. These also tempt me, though I probably just need to knit something basic like a dishcloth and teach myself how to knit backwards. Funny thing is, these classes teach you to purl backwards too, which I find amusing. I get why they are teaching it, it’s just that I would knit backwards to avoid purling and here they are teaching what I have no interest in doing! haha
I can teach you how to knit backwards! I have purled backwards although right now I can’t remember why. I think perhaps I was knitting something with short rows in garter stitch or maybe ribbing and I prefer not to turn the work when doing short rows… maybe?
