My bath mat is finished. It's quite a bit smaller than the pattern planned because I had 25% less yarn. I'm fine with that, though, it will fit perfect in my downstairs bathroom which has a very small floor. I am tempted to try the crochet dish cloth patterns that are on the ball band of the Sugar n Cream but I need to knit on the Husband Hybrid sweater a bit first.
That's so cool! Crochet does sound like a better technique to use for a bath mat. I need one, too. Where'd you get the pattern?
Thanks! The pattern is from One Skein, by Leigh Radford. It calls for a cone of Peaches n Creme. I used a 12oz ball of Sugar n Cream instead, which is why mine is smaller.
One skein! that's almost cheating since it's a cone 😀
That's what I thought, but a friend of mine pointed out that a cone of P&C is still cheaper than a skein of many yarns.:)
Love the way the varigation on this turned out.
Me too! I was pulling the yarn from the outside and the inside and I thought they were just going to follow the same pattern, so I was kind of pleased that they changed a bit.
