cape progress, no sheep swap

We arrived back home tonight from our week long vacation to Southern California. Unsurprisingly, there was a lot of driving involved and Erik did all but about two hours of it. Yay for Erik. That means I got quite a bit of uninterrupted knitting time and a lot of Niels' cape done.

I used the weaving in without weaving in trick again adn I think it may have convinced me that intarsia is not so bad. I am very pleased with how this has turned out, even on the back.

A nice surprise was waiting for me when we came back: my No Sheep Swap package came!

I am in love with those penguin paper clip thingies! How cute is that? The funny thing about this package is that my secret pal apologized for choosing a color of Calmer that wasn't one I had listed as my favorite but it is the color of Calmer I was most recently fondling in the yarn store. I almost bought a couple balls of it but I put it back because I wasn't sure what to do it with it. Now I have the chance to figure out what to do with two balls of Calmer!

Thanks, Secret Pal!
